An alternative to Kalkhoff Sahel Compact Impulse 8?

I'm very close to purchasing this little guy. I love compact bikes that are not folding! I don't really like it when I see the same bike re-branded under various names like the last few reviews of folding bike reviews on this site. I guess it can't be helped! The Sahel compact Impulse 8 looked pretty unique. I liked the components. I wonder if it's relatively quiet? On the videos, I can clearly hear the motor. I don't have any dealers nearby for me to test drive. It would be an online purchase.

I was showing this bike to a friend of mine asking his opinion and he said that it looked like the Raleigh Dundee icompact. I googled it and sure enough. Are Kalkhoff and Raleigh sister companies or is this the norm? All bikes rebranded and sold under various names?

Anyways, I would love to find something like the Sahel Impulse 8. The sahel would cost me $3.2K USD. I don't mind paying for it if I can't find anything else. What I like about it is the size, the thicker tires, how the battery is relatively tucked away and not a dolphin and the advanced drive train with all the sensors. I can't really find any alternatives on my own and so I turn to you guys! Should I just go with the Sahel or is there a better contender?

check out the new A2B bikes by Hero. Kalkhoff and Raleigh are owned by different holding companies. Kalkhoff is Pon Holdings under the Derby Cycle umbrella. Raleigh is a brand under Accell Group.

Thanks for the informative reply. I looked into A2B bikes and nothing really stood out. I guess for a compact ebike, I'm probably not going to find a whole lot better than the Sahel Impulse 8.

Thank you

the Sahel Impulse is a great bike. Where are you located?

Burns, Oregon.
Unfortunately you will need to buy inter or intra state. Two closest dealers are the The E-Bike store in Portland or The New Wheel in San Francisco.

Warranty service will be an issue to consider prior to purchase.

Warranty service will be always an issue with my location. I was probably going to go with Propel Bikes or some other online retailer. I guess in case of trouble, I would have to take it all the way to Portland which is another reason I want to get something a little bit decent, something that wouldn't break down quite so easily.
