Affordable Mid Drive ($1500-ish?)

Is there any such thing? I recall there was an indiegogo campaign for a mid drive in this price range, but once you added up all of the extras, it was a lot closer to $2K than to $1K.

I've demoed quite a few hub drive bikes and the rearward weight bias is less than ideal and I'm constantly aware of it. A mid drive's weight distribution seems like the only way to go.

good luck,E-Bike prices seem to be skyrocketing from what i can tell.

Ontro G1?

If you're okay with a mini velo, there's the M Class by Ariel Rider. Seems like they release stock quarterly but it sells out quick.

It seems like $2K and above is a more realistic price point.

Or maybe I'll stick to my original plan to purchase the electric xp. I am discouraged however by reports of a long lag between the first couple pedal strokes and actual power delivery.

Interweb buyers are funny.

They see an online price and assume it's just loyally waiting there, always available to be picked up :)

If you can feel the weight of a rear hubmotor, then you're very good, probably good enough to feel the weight of a heavier mid drive, and I wonder how you will be able to reconcile the weight and trucklike handling of a fat 20".
