Add watt meter

Hello
do you know if it's be possible to add this watt meter on the Moscow non plus?
This needs to be placed between the controller and the battery, do you know where the plug is and how it's called?
The cable of course also needs to be extended. Any suggestion?

Hi, I don't know how old your bike is , but if still in warranty any modifications may invalidate it. Especially as the expensive things would be the Battery and Hub Motor If they think you have altered the electrics this may give them reason to reject a claim..

Just splice it into the red/black wires running from your battery to your controller. There are a variety of connector types that allow you to do this. Best if they are soldered but not a deal breaker if not as long as good connection is made.

The problem is being able to read it while riding. If you put it on the handlebars, then the current has a long and needlessly wasteful path thru the wires.

What hardcore wattmeter enthusiasts do is to put a shunt resistor between the battery and motor. Then they can use relatively thin wires to connect the meter to the shunt. Disclaimer. I haven't tried this.

This probably seems a little crazy, but I was curious to see how much power the motor uses when it's working hard. So, I got a DC clamp meter, taped it to the bar and ran a loop of heavy gauge wire is series with the battery mating socket. See the photo below. I would not recommend this as it's dangerous to look at the meter while riding...... You can use a peak hold function.

I don't mean to invalidate any warranty I thought that I could just plug the wattmeter in between the plug of the controller that goes to the battery. As seen here
it should be that.
But yeah maybe a shunt is better!

Why? It's a cheap clone version and typically they don't last long. The biggest value for me is using mine when I need to troubleshoot. Otherwise, it's just more stuff that just isn't used as often as one might think.
