A First For Me.

As I was riding home from running a couple of errands on a segregated multi-use path that parallels a busy road, a red RAV4 turned on to a dead end road, stopped and completely blocked the path. The passenger door was ajar, but not wide enough to see who was inside. Needless to say, this caused some apprehension on my part. As I slowed down and approached the vehicle an attractive lady with a slight eastern European accent got out and started waving her arms and asking me to please stop because she wanted to ask me some questions. I have become accustomed to people asking about the bike, but this was the first time I have been physically detained to tell someone where I bought it, and answer the usual e-bike questions that we all get. She thanked me profusely, said the bike was awesome and she had to have one.

I had a guy follow me from the hwy and 3 miles of side streets to the start of the bike trails with my two Radrovers on my rear rack to ask me about them. I get the occasional person rolling down their window when waiting at a stop light asking me about my rover when I work commute. It is a lot less frequent now compared to when I first got the ebike in 2016/2017.

I still get a lot of "nice bike" or "cool bike" comment from folks on the street a few times a month.

My wife and I had an SUV follow us into a restaurant parking lot where the driver stopped us to ask questions about the bikes (he wasn't eating at the restaurant). We were on our Terns. I've had quite a few drivers roll down windows at red lights to ask questions or say 'cool bike'. I had one guy in a pickup drive side-by-side with me for about a block (I was in a bike lane) while his passenger was asking me questions about the bike.

Same here! I get lots of admiringly comments at stop lights. And many curious questions when I stop for a refreshment break.

I got from a ~10 year old kid I rode by: Wow cool that's an electric bike! or something to that effect.

Never expected that.
