As the title says, I am curious if anyone can confirm their realistic distance with throttle only. I understand what the bike and person weighs needs to be taken into consideration along with headwinds and temperatures. But just curious what results you get. Would also like to know what brand of batteries you have.
Thanks

10 miles. Educated guess since I never have ridden throttle only. Based on an Indiegogo Sondors fat bike, 36v 8.8ah, 350 watt motor nominal, 500+ max. Don't forget hills and temperature this time of year. Both of those will drop the range.

Thanks rich c,
Good to know and understand inclines and temp drops with range along with other factors. But really curious what others are achieving in range throttle only with flat land no hills or inclines.

Pedal assist system consume anywhere between 12whr/mile to 25whr/mile.

On throttle only, you are looking at 25whr/mile to 35/whr mile. So, approx 8 to 13 miles depending on how fast you are going, load, terrain etc.

I would personally look for a bike that would get you in the 20 mile range when using the throttle only riding, I only say this because you can put miles on your ebike faster then you think you will. Don't short yourself on a purchase and then wish you had spent a little more and got a bike that had better range for riding. The wife and I purchased Rad Mini Step Thru's and we can get 20 miles on a full charge not using pedal assist, but we normally pedal some and can go very much farther per full charge.

I ride a sitdown E scooter. Throttle Only no peddles. Bike weights 27 lbs. I weight 125 lbs. 6 amp cheep Chinese battery. 36V system. Flat surface no wind. 12" wheels, top speed the whole time (18.6 mph). I routinely traveled 14 miles before total battery drain. Of course my speed declined incrementally the further i traveled. So you know this was done on the bike paths from Islamorada, Fl to Key Largo, Fl. back and forth from Sailboat to work and back. Hope it helps.

Thanks to everyone for the responses. Sorry its taken so long to reply been researching what currently is out there . Finally pulled the trigger on this entry level folding ebike and really happy I did. Customer support is number one for me and this company is outstanding and has exceeded all my expectations. The bike is a real joy to ride for what I need and has some descent specs. The bike is solid , well built and has great welds, smooth and quiet. Has a lot of features they don't show or say. The only con I could say is you have to raise the seat to remove the battery. Not an issue for me just leave on the bike and charge. Took trainman advice to look for a bike hitting the 20 mile range on throttle only. And this bike did 22miles on throttle only with 2 bars left. Not the fastest bike but for me its a great value for the money since its pretty flat here in Houston. I have added my personal touch to it and with proper care hope it will last. So for anyone looking for a folding non fat tire ebike this is another option. They do sell extra batteries if needed.

You're actually doing better than advertised, as they claimed 18 miles on throttle only.
