Dave, what model is that? I couldn’t find anything on the Giant web site with that shaped top tube or that color.View attachment 191500
Nothing blooming around here, but we got to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. This is part of the Erie Canal before they refill it after the winter finally ends over the next couple of weeks. Nice day for a ride.
Dave from Vancouver can see that I have carefully followed his stuff transporting ideas for a Stance! Have to say I really like this bike, bit of a tank that it is. Certainly has plenty of oomph!
I had a similar feeling when I saw my 2021. Drew me right in.Yup, that’s it. My local shop had that thing on the floor for two years and every time I came in for whatever else I was doing, there it was looking at me. When Giant dropped the price all the way down to $2460 last Fall, I gave up and bought it right away as a great alternate to my Creo. Rode it up one fairly extreme hill and signed the check.
I haven’t had a mountain bike since my Cannondale was stolen back in the 90s. It’s a continuing education and a lot of fun to have those two choices in the garage every time I go out to ride.
Well, you have to admit, 72F and sunny is pretty scary. That's why only hearty folk live in SoCal.It's bad in Britain as well, time for the asbestos hat

Hard to believe it but 20 C (68 F) during the Irish Summer (a single week in July) feels so hot you hardly can live without AC! I'm serious!Well, you have to admit, 72F and sunny is pretty scary. That's why only hearty folk live in SoCal.
Ah… so it’s not a 2024-2025 model… Got it. Too bad Giant doesn’t offer that color anymore (or at least not in a single tone). Wowser!I think its a Giant Stance E+ 2 2022
That was exactly how I felt when I bought my Merlin mountain bike frame in 2003 and had my LBS build it out. Same deal, in my case with the frame sitting on the wall for over a year. tantalizing! It’s fascinating that you guys have had the same experience. I’ve also had that happen to me with musical instruments (particularly guitars) and even cars. It can be dangerous to the wallet!I had a similar feeling when I saw my 2021. Drew me right in.
I have looked at the Giant website to see what the brand can offer now. I'm quite disappointed. The brand that could install 625 or even 800 Wh batteries on its e-bikes now provides very expensive e-MTBs with a smallish 400 Wh battery to make the e-bike slim and weigh less. Meanwhile, it is for big $$$. (I'm talking about the current Trance X E+).Too bad Giant doesn’t offer that color anymore (or at least not in a single tone).
I thought he was joking... He was not! Not the April Fools! It's bad in Britain as well, time for the asbestos hat

I found Texas summer unbearable when I was there...After growing up in North Carolina — where 95°F and 95% humidity went on all summer — I do find that hard to believe.
Did somebody say guitars?!!??? I'm a PRS fanboy, and just got my 12th!Ah… so it’s not a 2024-2025 model… Got it. Too bad Giant doesn’t offer that color anymore (or at least not in a single tone). Wowser!

Cheers mate. I'm hoping I'm done now (famous last words).Very nice, Dave!
My collection is almost entirely acoustic, Dave. I’m a big Guild guitar fan, and primarily a 12-string player.Cheers mate. I'm hoping I'm done now (famous last words).![]()
One has to have priorities. You cannot play outstanding guitars AND afford premium e-bikesMy collection is almost entirely acoustic, Dave. I’m a big Guild guitar fan, and primarily a 12-string player.
