No one forces anybody to buy a high-end e-bike.
You're not curious about why they cost so much in comparison to cars or motorbikes like the examples above? No one forces anybody to buy a high-end e-bike.
I was once curious why a coffee machine could cost a small fortune. Then I found the answer: Some people need to spend their dough on something. You're not curious about why they cost so much in comparison to cars or motorbikes like the examples above?
Spesh bikes are mostly made in Merida run factories in Taiwan and mainland China. Not exclusively, they also sometimes go behind Merida's back, and get parts built elsewhere like in 2023 when Tianjin’s FSD helped SBC establish a factory in Vietnam. The Merida/SBC relationship in Taiwan is described as like an 'old marriage' with arguments a plenty but neither side willing to break up just yet. Spesh continues to have parts and frames made in many factories in Asia depending on currency exchange and market value. Just like every other bike manufacturer.Which makes me wonder why Arnold Schwarzenegger rides a Chinese scrap metal![]()
The Chinese scrap metal is made in the People's Republic of China (a.k.a. mainland China). "Chinese" is not "Taiwanese" even if Taiwan is formally known as Republic of China, Taiwan.I'm not sure how that fits your definition of Chinese scrap metal.
Perhaps I'm picking hairs. It's just you often disparage Chinese bikes on here, you like to differentiate between mainland (CCP run) China as inferior and Taiwan as superior. That's just silly. Most bike brands including Taiwan based Giant and Merida now use many many factories in China to produce their bikes. It's just simple economics. And China has become world leader in all things electrical like Battery & EV tech. Nothing is clear cut black and white, wherever brands get the best deal they will go there and its impossible to say 'my 2 bikes were made in Taiwan', Spesh makes bikes all over Asia, like in Vietnam now and often a bike will be a mix of parts made all over Asia not just in one factory in Taiwan. The Chinese scrap metal is made in the People's Republic of China (a.k.a. mainland China). "Chinese" is not "Taiwanese" even if Taiwan is formally known as Republic of China, Taiwan.
My both Specialized e-bikes were made in R.O.C., Taiwan.
You deserve this explanation even if I've always perceived you as a clever person![]()
Stefans friend here, I post instead, he no well, maybe sometime till next post..maybe never.Chinese" is not "Taiwanese

Could also have been those pesky Zargonians in the mothership orbiting behind the moon. Came to eat us, didn't like the taste, but stayed cuz it's just too much fun messing with us. Well, that and Downton Abbey.Latest Nato news.

No end to the pranks you can play with a transporter, tractor beam, and subspace satellite jammer. You know those keys you just had in your hand and now can't find anywhere?

If only people knew how little of it was fiction. Remember that episode with the spider that got twice as big every time the guy tried to kill it? Zargonian doubling spider."You're travelling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind; a journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's the signpost up ahead - your next stop, the Twilight Zone!"

One of my favs was the one where there was a massive disaster that wiped everyone out (nuclear?) but somehow left a complete library and a total bookworm guy as the only thing/person to survive. If only people knew how little of it was fiction. Yep, the Zargonian sense of humor gets pretty dark sometimes. One of my favs was the one where there was a massive disaster that wiped everyone out (nuclear?) but somehow left a complete library and a total bookworm guy as the only thing/person to survive.
And then he broke his glasses...
They're pretty hot though...Yep, the Zargonian sense of humor gets pretty dark sometimes.
Yeah, they don't really have genders as we know them, but those are mostly Zargonian guys. They're pretty hot though...
