2021 Creo Road Remote?

Hmm, the specs on the E5 (alloy model) don't show the remote in the Canadian site specs. However I did notice that they're now speccing Future Shock 2.0 and 105 disc brakes. Of course the disclaimer is there "Specifications are subject to change without notice". Guess I'll just have to wait and see what arrives, my LBS is saying late November for mine.

I think that's still the 2020 model on the website. The 2021 models have "New" noted on the upper right.

a lot of the specs on the U.S. website are wrong; especially regarding disc brakes. they suggest a number of models come with 105 and pretty sure all high end models come with at least Ultegra.

My wife's Expert came with Ultegra.

my local Specialized dealer sent me a very informative PDF showing how all cable and wires are run in the Creo. On page 8 there is definite proof that remote buttons are here or are coming. Not much other info but looks like not a single module on the bars, but rather the availability of 2 blip buttons that will control different functions. Or maybe just mode up and down?

I tried to post the full PDF but the file is too big for this forum software.

The buttons are too small to see (they're under the handlebar tape). Here's a bad picture of the bikes in the garage. It was pouring rain when I took and my garage is overflowing. Sorry I have nothing better.

RobertOK - I also noticed on the Spesh Creo page, that the 2021 models appear to have a small chain guide to the inside of the 46T chainring. Looks like it mounts to the rear motor mount bolt. Can you confirm this exists, or just showing up on the webpage models? Thanks, Bill

My wife's XS expert evo has the hole and attachment, but it hits the chain because of the short chain stay. So it wasn't mounted on hers, mine is a medium and there is no contact with the chain.

It's the bump, not much to see. Again they work great, can't imagine going without them. In case it's not obvious that's the inside of the bar, I switch modes using my thumbs.View attachment 65550D

But for that spot, don’t you have to move your hands off the hods to get your thumb there? Seems like you’d have to reach backwards or slide your hands back. Putting them in the bend of the bar would be more natural, no?

My default hand position is on the brake hoods and I can reach the buttons easily with my thumbs. It does take a while to memorize the button position (but I'm old).

I made an inquiry today with my LBS about the remotes. Sure hope this is made available for existing Creo owners as it represents a major step up in convenience.

Yes, you can retrofit. I have them waiting for me at the LBS and hopefully will get them installed on my Creo Evo tomorrow, if I get myself organised - and upgrading to Di2 at the same time.

That's great. Do you happen to know the part # for these gems? Seems like the manner in which one obtains them through the global Specialized dealers network varies for some logistical reason.

No. I'm based in New Zealand - so if relevant I can ask the bike shop when I get them. I am getting through the local specialised shop - indicated cost was NZ$110 but no doubt will get that confirmed as well.

Got the bike back today, and confirmed at $110. Got them to move the dropper lever so I could reach the buttons from the levers

Very pleased, instant change and great being able to go up and down, rather than just one way.

Unexpected bonus is that no-assist is one of the selections, so don't have to hold button down to select no assistance.

They had put them on a standard CREO the day before so proving relatively popular upgrade.
