Just a quick acknowledgement to say thank you for putting this fantastic website together for all of us E-Bike enthusiasts! The value you bring is phenomenal and much appreciated. Wanted to get your thoughts on which of these bikes you may choose. The wife and I have a couple of great BH's bikes now- she has a class 3 mine a class 2. Long story short I want to get a class 3 with 4th gen Bosch motor and wanted to get some input on which bike may be better- mostly paved and gravel trail riding with light off road work here and there. Both are similar price points and just wondering what may be more comfortable for the long haul- we do some 80-100 mile rides from time to time. None of the bikes you mentioned have Gen 4 Speed motor, they are all Gen 2.

I personally would invest in the new hardware. While the Gen 2 will be supported, they will miss out on a lot of the new features that Bosch will be rolling out.
For example, Kiox theft protection (you could take the display off and it will disable the motor), ability to hold top speed, higher torque etc.
If I were to spend <$2000, I would not care but if I am spending $3,500 or more, I would certainly want the newer hardware and features.
