2012 Stromer Elite 1000 miles so far, very good!

Bought this leftover model in January. Aside from an initial SOC indication problem and a squealing rear brake, it's been perfect.. Not even a flat (now I am doomed!).

I know some people have had a lot of problems with the motor etc, but it's been working great for me so far.. The pedal assist modes are perfect span of range vs effort.

In Power assist mode,can cruise at 22 mph with an honest 27 mile range.. In Eco assist mode, can cruise around 18 mph with an honest 40 mile range.



Since it has a relatively small battery (36v11ah), wish it came with the larger 36v14ah battery... May just buy another battery.. Finding a charge on the road can be a pain.

Personally I have 2 bikes, 4 old purples which work ok till you want go up a hill in power less than 30-40%, will pick back up on flat though. And the 2 golds that came w/the 2 bikes, 1 add'l gold purchased and 1 more comped battery (not sure purple or gold but will take either for a comp,on its way) I can carry 1 in the bike while using it and then 2 , one in each bag, on the back.

3 golds go further than I can about 100+, I have gotten to the high 80's a few times

Long Island Electric was having a sale on purples, no longer..you may give them a call and find out if they can do anything

It's a beautiful palm garden, pool and hot tub to be sure... if you ever need a house sitter I might have to volunteer! Oh, and I promise not to ride all of your ebikes while you're gone
