I just finished a 79 mile ride on my Creo SL carbon. It was all on paved roads. Fairly flat 3300 ft elevation gain with moderate winds. It was a charity ride to support MS research. I used the main battery plus one rage extender. According to BLevo, I used 217 Whrs main battery, 100 Whrs range...

...and you can turn off the lights while charging by simply powering down the bike. It will continue to charge the batteries.

As for the size, a L will probably work. I am 6'3" with 36" inseam and the Vado SL 5 EQ in Large works for me. Regardless always best to try them both to find the best fit for you.

Frankly I never considered that but I think there are structural limitations for racks with carbon frames. You would probably need to pack lightly.

Congrats! You will like it. I don't think it comes with the remote power assist buttons. They are an important but not very expensive accessory. There's a thread on the topic which will give you the part number and ideas on where to mount them on your handlebars...

Last year's firmware update of my Gen 1 Vado SL and Creo was a bit painful. It took a few tries by the techs at my LBS to get it done. This year, I'm waiting a bit before I take my e-rides into the shop for a firmware update. All you early adopters, be sure to post your experiences here ;)

See my post 15 of this thread. Knock on wood, I have never dropped a chain. Hopefully I won’t because I’m sure it will be a PITA to get it back on because there’s not much room to reinstall.
