    Thrown back into indecision!

Hi Patricia.....have been following your posts. I see the draw to the belt drive, but is a GREAT price for the +2. Getting accessories is so fun and personalizes your bike. I almost got the +1 but couldn’t get a discount. When I test rode both at the LBS, I spoke with their mechanic and he was...

Did you say you had taken the Giant Lafree +1 for a test ride? Almost pulled the trigger on that bike. Had an auto mode that I really liked, with the belt drive. Only things I did not like was the battery on the rear rack and the display was just small LED dots. The motor was more powerful than...

Finally a rival of Juiced? Surface 604 Shred

E-biking has opened up cycling again to me after 20 years of my traditional bike sitting in the garage due to arthritis, a lower back injury, and heart issues. It has helped diminish depression, and am slowly gaining more mobility. Truly life changing.

I am thinking of buying a Trek Verve + ?

What is nice is the interchangeability with the Powerpack 500. It is a great fit for me as I rode a traditional bike for 40 years, then struggled with some arthritis, mobility issues, and have to be careful because of minor heart problem. I wanted a fairly light weight E-bike to assist my...

I am thinking of buying a Trek Verve + ?

So far there is zero rattle on mine but with all of the leaves on the ground and more debris I am sure I will get an annoying tick on occasion. I hope it is not an issue will keep my eye on it but I love the narrow sleek look with the stock fenders and I was riding I rode on a very wet surface...

I am thinking of buying a Trek Verve + ?

That is one of the main features I love the most is the light weight and lack of any resistance. Many times on flat surfaces if I am feeling good or even the slightest downhill I completely turn off the motor and I think that is why I get over 60 miles per charge. Because of the smaller motor if...

I am thinking of buying a Trek Verve + ?

I weigh 190 and I’m definitely not in good shape and I was able to maintain easily 15 to 17 mph today on the flat portions of my ride only using ECO.

I am thinking of buying a Trek Verve + ?

if I can jump in I just got back from an extended ride with many hills and I think the brakes are superb. I was coasting down one hill and got up to 38 mph with a large curve approaching and I applied the brakes fairly hard right at the end and it was extremely smooth and stopped me quickly.

I am thinking of buying a Trek Verve + ?

Yes it does and I personally find it extremely comfortable even on rough surfaces. My Trek dealer mentioned an upgrade to the grips that he said would take a lot of the jarring away on my wrists but I have not looked into it yet. I like a more firm ride and the bike is incredibly stable at...

I am thinking of buying a Trek Verve + ?

I will definitely look into that but where I feel the most impact when hitting ruts is in my wrists but the grips do help to an extent but I definitely don’t want front suspension.

I am thinking of buying a Trek Verve + ?

Hello Steve, Got a 2019 Verve+ about 3 months ago for general recreation. It fits my needs wonderfully. Paid 2K and added a rear rack and bag, plus two side mirrors. I test rode 4 different bikes, and the Verve has the smallest motor. I was worried about the lack of power, but it has not been...

This catalog just arrived in the mail 30 minutes after my last post... And looking at the picture of the Verve the other addition for this year other than the plastic chain guard is a larger rear light.

I think that is a great price and if a dealer can beat it I would be very surprised. I got mine in early September at that price because the last of that year‘s model was on sale. I went back a few weeks later to get a rear rack and sure enough the new 2020s were in, and if I can remember the...

Help finding balanced commuter / errand bike < ~$2k

I have mentioned in previous posts how my local Trek dealer has been superb in answering any questions, they have workshops and the mechanic even took me behind the scenes and opened the Bosch motor so I could see how it worked to me personally that type of customer service cannot be replaced...

Hello from Tennessee-Near future ebike owner

My Verve + has all the power and range I need, and I only have positive things to say about it with the exception of it is a very jarring ride when going over rough terrain or bumps. I would definitely go with one that has a shock for the type surfaces you will be riding.

I am so sorry my bad I did not proof read well enough and I just went back and corrected. I meant to say not for me concerning front or rear hub drives. yes the light weight I feel allows me to ride with no assist at times and usually getting 60 miles per charge. And I did test ride a RAD I am...

I understand the allure of hub drives, just not for me. Did not feel natural and intuitive and didn’t feel as “one”with the bike. Guess that is why I still like driving manual transmission cars. I also ride a motorcycle so stepping on my Verve feels like a sports car. I test ride a smaller...
