First 280 miles with my new Trek Verve+: LOVE IT!!!

I’m using the Jones bars trimmed to 680mm. I had no problems with stock cables. You shouldn’t need a riser since the verve stem is adjustable. Yrmv

    Trek verve+ 2, Giant Quick-E or Vado 3.0?

Very happy with my Verve after 1,300 miles this year. I test rode a giant quick-e and it is definitely more powerful than the Verve and also more expensive. I like the upright position of the Verve better than the Quick-E. I rarely use the Verve on the highest power setting. It stays in tour...

    Anyone have the 2019 Verve+ ?

My local Trek dealer gladly brought a Verve to the store when I requested. It took a few days for it to arrive. This was only for a test ride. I did not promise to buy it.

Boschs Purion - "Change Display Battery"

To be honest I haven't turned my bike off in a long time so I don't know if I'm still getting the message. It automatically shuts off after 10 minutes so I don't bother most of the time. I need to check if I'm still getting the message. It hasn't let me down yet and I ride it most days. Thanks...

    58 miles!

That's good range. I have the Bosch Active line and usually get about 40 miles using mostly tour and sport modes. I hardly use eco mode because of the hills around here. I have some range anxiety and usually charge it to full if it's less than 60% full. I wish there was an option to charge it to...

    Anyone have the 2019 Verve+ ?

I've had my Trek Verve for about 6 months and love it. It's not a speedy but it sure helps with the hills. I would jump all over that price if it's in good shape.

    28 mph is FAST!

Class 1 is plenty of speed for me. On an upright commuter/city bike the wind becomes an issue over 20 mph (32 kph).

E-Bike Sales in US - Majors missing the bulk of the market ?

That's something that's drove me crazy for years. I've never understood why most bikes are geared so high. I'll take climbing gears over top end every time. We have rolling hills and I rarely even pedal downhill as I'm usually going 20+ mph anyway. My touring bike is now running a mountain bike...

KineKT Body Float Post - Rider Weight

I have a Kinekt on my road bike and a recently purchased Thudbuster LT on my mtb. It's been too wet to test the Thudbuster. Not sure which one I like better. More testing is needed.

Boschs Purion - "Change Display Battery"

Update. After changing the batteries I’m no longer getting the message. It’s seems to have cleared itself. I used regular store bought batteries. My manual didn’t recommend any certain brand. It did take a few trips before the message stopped appearing.

What's it like to ride a fat bike?

I love my fat bike for technical single track and general trail riding. It's pretty slow and loud on pavement with knobby tires. My fat bike is non assisted though. If Surly comes out with a emtb I might have to pick one up.

Boschs Purion - "Change Display Battery"

Dealer says I have to bring it in to be reset or it will just continue with the message. It's kind of like a maintenance light on a car. I wish I could reset it myself.

Boschs Purion - "Change Display Battery"

Thanks I’ll give it a try. Sometimes I turn it on at the battery. At first I didn’t realize pressing the battery turns on the entire bike.

Known Issues & Problems with Bosch Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Getting the change display battery message on my purion controller. Changed the batteries and still getting the same message. Do I have to reset it or something? Btw. This is on a relatively new Trek bike. Could it be the cold affecting batteries?

Boschs Purion - "Change Display Battery"

I’m getting this same message before and after changing the batteries. Did anyone find a fix? Get a new purion display? My bike is almost new. Only a couple months old.

    First Ebike Commute

The bike didn't get wet only I did. The water little current but I wasn't sure how deep it was. You're correct that it was almost knee deep.

    First Ebike Commute

First commute on the Trek Verve+ was interesting. The forecast looked good for a couple of days so I threw the bike on the back of the car and headed to work. I thought about riding home all day. The first half mile from work is busy if you catch everyone leaving which of course I did. I always...

    Surly ebike

Nice bike but I’m kinda partial to steel frame bikes.

    Surly ebike

Looks like Surly has entered the ebike market with the Big Easy cargo bike. If they start making electric mountain bikes I'm screwed. I'm already a big Surly fan boy.

    Derestrict your Bosch/Trek e-bike?

I just got walk mode enabled and the light switch is now working. It took my local Trek dealer a day or two to figure out the software update. I was probably the first customer to request the update at this shop. This is on a Trek Verve though.
