Quick update: One box of controllers is scheduled for today AM. We should have it by mid-late day today. Tech is scheduled for controller swaps later today so we can start the process.

Oh.. they will be very close. The gear range on cassette is lower, but for top speed, they get very close (since the rear on the cassette is 11T and front is 44T).

Gear ratio is the primary driver. Kindernay should give you significant top speed advantage over the Shimano 3 speed (assuming same front and rear cog ratio).

We are ordering the oil in bulk from Kindernay. Please give us a couple of weeks.

Its not that 14T / 15T dont fit. The issue is that if we want to swap the cogs (after they are worn down), it is tough to remove the lock ring because the chain-whip interferes with the lock ring socket. With 16T there is just enough clearance for the system to work with minimal issues.

At this point, if we dont get the Helios out, we may not even have a business ! 🤣 🤣 We are working with a provider for the BBSHD - but probably Q4 at the earliest for any new controllers.

I beleive that is the official spec. However in our experience, If you want to replace the cog, its very very hard to get a grip using a chain whip for anything under 16T for the chain cog.

Clearance is very tight at 15T, so I would not recommend going below 16T.
