Energypak Plus range extender for 2020 bikes

I've noted before that a lot of E-bike freshmen owners experience "range anxiety" . I did. With experience that anxiety dissipates but it's understandable because you could misjudge and peddling a heavy bike home isn't fun. I don't run out of gas in my my car nor do I push the battery use when...

Even if a compatible motor was available totally free, I still wouldn't do it, unless your last name is Wright . (like in Wright Bros.)

    Giant SyncDrive Pro 2020 "tuning"

I have a 2020 Explore E+ 4 and the back wheel has magnet on spokes with the pickup unit on the back wheel strut. Doesn't that indicate the "standard" setup and not a integrated speed sensors?

    Giant SyncDrive Pro 2020 "tuning"

Wow Stefan, great job documenting and pointing out the simple complexity! Absolutely convinced me that I DO NOT want to mess with installing any type of speed box. I'll probably go with the magnet option before attempting eBike heart surgery. Congratulation and you owe your bother a case of his...

Update to New Update: Giant's Ride Control App 1.4.5

I believe it’s Yamaha hardware, Giant software. The firmware probably has some overlap but it’s mostly mapped and tuned by Giant. That’s common perception, I think.

    Fastroad E - EX PRO

My experience is if you stay away for the two highest assists modes on the Yamaha Sport motor I get 70+ miles on smooth surface. That further than I need travel on all but very rare occurrence. For a Pro motor that's excellent results Buckdubay.

    Fastroad E - EX PRO

I know that a number of experienced riders find saving weight an oppression. I guess that why the high profit eBikes manufacturers are going with lighter and modest batteries on their premier units.

New Giant eBike app to replace RideControl

The newest version appears to be the best one for me but I may see a slight change in battery level with version 1.4.5 . Up till now I was confident I could get 65+ miles on one charge in normal local terrain but that's not Mtn. eBiking. Mostly paved road, maintained dirt/woods trails and...

Update to New Update: Giant's Ride Control App 1.4.5

Hope it's a translation glitch. It's a good sign that Giant continues to improve the RideControl app and address firmware fixes but not confident the right group of people are working on software resolutions. They have a worldwide market and must be working on numerous issues with reduced staff...
