    Help With Carrier for ST5

Larry, I'm curious to hear what you think of this rack. I got the same one and my first time out with it was a bit of a struggle. It holds the bikes fine but getting them in was a chore that required two people. Those hooks are hard to move up and down.

Help with my new Stromer ST2 (Not Freewheeling)

Did your LBS calibrate your torque sensor? That was a huge improvement for me after my first tune up. Bike freaking flys now. It's easy to do, just jump into your menu, find torque sensor and hit calibrate.

Considering an ST3... but which color ?

Black looks mean. I get a lot of compliments on my bike. That green is real nice though, and it's a limited edition. I'd go for that green if I was getting an ST3 today.

    Touring Stromer (the long version)

Finally got my Jones bars done. Wanted to share here since this is the thread that gave me inspiration to follow through. I love the bars. It was a bit pricey to get them installed as the rear hydraulic brake line had to be replaced, as well as the housings, etc. My one crucial error was taking...

    Stromer ST3

Hey no problem. You had your reasons for getting this bike. I think that if you can live without such a kick ass battery then the Specialized is great. Just make sure you can get service for that bike too. In my experience, REI doesn't know what they're doing with electric bikes. If I were...

    Stromer ST3

Go to Stromer's web site and see if there's an affiliated dealer near you. They should have a bike mechanic on staff that is trained to work on Stromers. I looked at REI too but their mechanics don't know a thing about Stromers and I thought it was super weird that they'd sell the bikes but not...

    Touring Stromer (the long version)

The clearance for the headlight is initially what got me interested in the riser version. I wanted about a 40mm rise, but 50 mm should be okay. I'm going to wait a bit and see if I like my stock bars for now. I cut them down because I need them to be a bit more narrow. I am mainly using the bike...

    Touring Stromer (the long version)

Amazing, thank you John. Looks like I'd be pushing my luck with the riser bars but I'm happy to see the headlight reaches the front loop. Appreciate the help! If I get the Jones bar I'll be sure to post it.

    Touring Stromer (the long version)

John, thank you for your prompt response! Yes I was also concerned about the headlight. I thought it might work with the 2.5" riser bar. Did you mount it on the front loop? Not sure how much slack I have but the handlebars seem worth the hassles. I would definitely have my LBS do it for me...

    Touring Stromer (the long version)

So I know this is an old thread but I wanted to ask you about the Jones Loop H bar. I was considering picking up the 2.5" riser bars but I'm concerned about the cables not reaching far enough. Did you have to extend your cables? Also did you get the riser or standard bars?

    ST2 replacement brake lever/parts list?

My lever broke in the same place. Bike shop guy said this is a known problem as the aluminum can't take a drop and they break easily. I wonder if the MT5 upgrade has similar problems. I don't plan on dropping the bike again but I would hate to have to replace this again. Quite a hassle.

    6 wheels

The bike looks nice with the honey Brooks saddle. I went with black but I wavered on getting the honey. Makes me wish I had! Nice stable of wheels.

    ST2 replacement brake lever/parts list?

I looked up an authorized Stromer dealer on their site and found a bike shop that is ordering the part for me. Just in case someone else runs into this problem, thought I'd put it out there.

    ST2 replacement brake lever/parts list?

So this morning I fell over and busted my right/rear brake lever blade. Snapped at the pivot point. I'd like to order a replacement part and since everything ebike related scares bike shops, I think I need to find something online. Can anyone help me find this? I saw that amegoev.com has a...

    Mount ST2 on a trainer?

    Awesome, thanks Ravi!

    Mount ST2 on a trainer?

Looking to get a professional bike fit and the bike would need to be set on a trainer. Removing the rear wheel looks easy enough. Any reason why the bike couldn't be mounted on a trainer without the rear hub wheel? Just want to make sure there's no chance of damaging the bike. I assume it's fine.

    Timewarp of my daily commute.

Wow, pretty ballsy riding on a 2 lane windy road with no shoulder. How fast were you going on average?

Rear bag that works with the city kit rack ST-1?

I just got a VAUDE Silk Road Plus. Snaps to the rear rack. Has mini panniers that stow away when not in use. Really nice bag. Link here.

    Used ST2, good price?

Yeah for sure, you should call as you won't always see prices listed online--especially when the price is under MSRP. The big online bike dealers should have decent prices, but no reason why you shouldn't call your local LBS if they carry Stromer.

    Used ST2, good price?

I just bought a 2017 new ST2 for less than that. Might want to check around before you buy it used. In general, right now is a great time to get a new bike that is from past model years. New models are coming in, and dealers need to push old stock out.
