This morning's ride wasn't as nice. It threatened rain the entire ride but only sprinkled a bit. The stone wall below along one of my favorite shortcuts home when rain threatens. It has been in process for a few years. This section was just completed. The rocks on the ground are the mason's...

Yesterday was a beautiful day. I ended up putting 70 miles on my ebike. These things are addicting! I found this handsome stone wall in a very rural section of Stafford, CT. It was several hundred yards long.

Yesterday's ride took me on several miles of of a delightful but rough forest road through the Brimfield State Forest in Massachusetts. It was a new route for me and my map does not designate surface types on public roads. The Homage with Rock Razors handled it well. It would have been far more...

Fun ride down memory lane as I rode on Axe Factory Road (2 track) in the Yale Forest for the first time since my mountain biking days in the 1990's. On the way home I tried another old favorite Nagy Road in Ashford and found this beautiful piece of old farm equipment. (If you are into old...

Another early morning ride. A new bike is great inspiration to get going in the morning! My wife Marji has been building field stone walls for more than 40 years. I knew she would like seeing the beautiful curve they have worked into this newly built wall.

I took a 50 mile early morning ride. A new bike makes old roads new again.

I took the long way around to the orchard on unimproved roads in a quest for fresh corn and tomatoes.

    2019–2020 R&M Homage : Riders' Impressions

Thanks David. I find your detailed set up information very valuable although I have to admit the hardest thing for me to acquire seems to be the bike itself. It arrived in Boston a month ago and apparently has been back and forth to Germany several times due to “shipping company errors”...

For today's afternoon ride Marji and I biked by the Joshua's Trust Friedman Forest. It's about 10 mies from our house on the other side of town but on a route we often take. Ive passed it many times on my way to Bebbington Lane, a scenic gravel road.

Early morning 20 mile "wake up" ride. I love the morning light. The forest to the left is maintained with no underbrush or deadfall. It must be a full time job. Old mill site. Beautiful large stone foundation. Pastureland in Willington CT.

Magnum Metro user report 1 year later

I did 30 mile rides in both eco and normal. Keep in mind I normally ride in pas 1 and I did the same with these rides. The acceleration surge was less but the cost in the general feel of the bike was not worth it. It felt underpowered going up hills because in pas 1 the assist is limited at “4...

Thanks for the report. I’m a bit envious. I rode my Magnum Metro today because my Homage has been stuck in Boston customs for 3 weeks. I like the Metro well enough but I’m really looking forward to finally riding my own Homage.

Thanks for the seat tip. That’s something we can try on Marji’s current bike.
