Does anyone have experience or knowledge to share about Fat Tire bikes?

Yeah, it's a little confusing the way the order form is laid out. The hub drive is the cheapest, at $600 less than the base mid drive with mechanical brakes. Then comes the upgraded mid drive with hydraulic brakes and fenders, bigger battery and lights. He also used to have a 750 watt option...

Oh yeah, but 30 plus km/hr as much as I can, and top level of assist. Feel like god normally. Big river valley to go through, works great. Got the smaller battery.

    Biktrix Juggernaut review

Well, I forgot to charge mine when I got home so I found out the range for me is about 30 km. Did the 10 km back from work tonight on manual and it was a long slog. Figured out why I'm the only one commuting to work on a fat bike. Might bump up the tire pressure from 10 to 20 psi in case I...

Does it suck pedaling a Befang mid-drive system with the motor off?

Both Fatbikes? Same tire pressures? If not, there's a good chunk of the difference.

Does it suck pedaling a Befang mid-drive system with the motor off?

Kinda true, but since the Bafang keeps it's weight down low and centered, especially with a downtube mounted battery, it doesn't feel heavy to pedal around and maneuver. My fiance's ancient 'Jeep' regular bike, on the other hand, weighs the same and is trying to crush you every chance it can get.

Just like a regular bike, at least mine.

Help please for a new member

Not enough gear maybe? I've no problem pedaling away at my legally limited top speed of 20 miles/hr, and that's on a fat e-bike, with 10 psi in the tires. Shift up, up the assist, feels like I'm superman. Only has seven gears, but with the power on tap about 4 would be lots.

    This is my Radrover...

Is there not something you can set in the controller? With the Juggernaut (also cadence only, I think) the difference in aggressiveness of the power assist is very noticeable from 1 to 5. I will knock it down often in trees, tight trails, around crowds of people, etc. Combined with downshifting...

    Diameter Juggernaut seatpost

My seatpost had 30.4 stamped on it. It would make sense the seat tube is 30.6 as they are usually .2 difference in size. I found a 30.9 to 27.2 adapter I had lying around fit, after a bit of twisting.

Pretty sweet deal compared to Bodyfloat, Thudbuster, etc. How would it compare to a basic telescopic type? I find mine 'takes the edge off' but is not cushy by any means.

    Biktrix Juggernaut review

Yeah, I thought it was interesting, what appears to be the same fork is either $60 plus $60 shipping with one outfit or $120 plus free shipping with another. As they appeared to be the same unit for the same end price I went with the 60 plus 60 option as they shipped DHL (actually Fedex), so I...

    Pedal Assist Only

Something like this: http://www.voltbike.ca/voltbike-elegant/voltbike-elegant-white.html And just remove the pedal assist controller? (assuming it has one)

Quick Release Front Wheel on the Juggernaut

Yeah, everyone I let ride it gets those same big eyes and little kid look. And I'm finding it doesn't get old either. These e-bikes are going to be huge. Funny how the main bike makers have not clued in to this market yet. Institutional inertia, I guess.

Quick Release Front Wheel on the Juggernaut

Interesting, just checked mine and it's on the other side, could well have switched it when I changed the forks. Seems to work. So, what do you think of the bike?

Any RadRover contributors out there ?

    Yeah, enjoy your fatties folks!

    Biktrix Juggernaut review

I was wondering myself how mine functioned. If you have a name brand and model you could google the specs, it's a bit harder with no-name units.

    Biktrix Juggernaut review

In the fork basically you need something for suspension (to absorb hits) and something for dampening (so the fork doesn't bounce around). Most forks use a metal spring for the suspension, and oil being pushed through restrictions for dampening. Some use air as a spring, lighter, easier to vary...

    Biktrix Juggernaut review

Yep, lock out on one leg, preload on the other. 1 1/8 straight steerer, quick release 135mm hub. Just over 6 lbs, compared to around 2 for the rigid fork or 4 for a Rockshox Bluto. Steel lower legs and tubes, alloy crown. vs: Rode it about 20km yesterday to work and back. Smooths out the...

    Biktrix Juggernaut review

Welcome! Pretty sure you're going to love it. Myself I got the suspension fork in this weekend, and installed. Drove it to work today, and it feels very good. Will give a more detailed review tonight.
