when I looked into it the forks weren't really the problem, it was the bearing cups and the folding stem. bearing cups didn't look to be removable. The folding handle bar stem was hard to find. In the end I didn't pursue it after getting the bike because I didn't feel it was worth it to me.

qualifier ... I rode 20" bmx bikes as a kid... I think you can change out the fork, but if that's your goal buy a bike with it already, would end up cheaper in the long run. I'm no thin dude, but jumping curbs, potholes and what not aren't a big deal, just like the bmx days stand up. This bike...

I like about 18mph, but 28 is doable just don't be sight seeing! My last grocery run was on a 45mph road with no shoulder, I did run 28-29mph just so I was closer to keeping up with traffic aka not as many cars passing me!

funny I use cruise all them time. you are limited to 20 mph, but if you are on PAS5 and peddle it still will accelerate stop peddling and it drops back to 20.

Rob I'm not busting your balls, even thou you assumed I didn't know what I was talking about.. 54v and shorting the pack out will not cause a fire, like I said lots of other things will fail before any real damage will occur. ok enough let's just agree to disagree. I do agree it's kind of...

I have direct shorted cells @ about the 5:00 minute mark is what happens, well sometimes not always sometimes nothing happens. Lets look at how the pack is put together thou. cells are spot welded together then they feed the bms, the bms has FET'S to switch the flow of electricity on to the...

I would be careful you don't know what knowledge other people have on the subject. Phones are a different cell. Have you ever shorted an 18650 battery? Do you know what happens?

Do you carry your laptop in a fireproof bag? The cells are the same as these ebike cells. Bob

First let me say I'm happy with my bike and for what I use it for if the odometer is off doesn't effect me in the slightest. If you were in Lectric's shoes what would you do about 6000 problem bikes out there. Can't just adjust wheel size because it messes up the spedo too. Seems the only fix...

    Hand signals for turning

I know a lot of us are around the same age.... growing up we had bikes with the same diameter tires, I could ride all over town and not touch the bars. So what's different? Old age can't be the only thing.

    Hand signals for turning

yeah one handed on the short handlebars is a bit dicey.

I have heard this before, but does rad open every bike and adjust/set up before shipping them out? Doesn't seem like it when you watch unboxing videos.

I never will understand that. They are into performance bikes. Driving down the road in my(just sold and carless) ford raptor I would pass someone in a rusted out chevy pickup, didn't make me think twice.... So we choose a ebike for whatever reason, shouldn't make any difference to what they...

    Lectric XP and steep hills

forgot to add... on these style motor voltage is what determines motor rpm... so if your main goal is faster then you still need a new controller but you also will need a higher voltage battery. it's not this simple but these controllers are basically voltage regulators... volts=speed...
