Customer came by my shop with this 20" fat e-bike.
No name or info on it. Rear geared hub motor
PY48V1200W has stripped out plastic gears.
Power cable to motor has 9 pins with
military grade threaded plug.
Does anyone know who makes this bike?
Any ideas on finding a wheel or replacement gears?
Thanks George at swampfoxbikes.com

if your going to ride and fire this bike make sure to duck your head.

Tough item to find. 1200w geared motor. DIdn't find any via Google,

If you find one, you'll probably need to spoke it into the old rim. The threaded cable plug is used for higher current motors. If the motor don''t have one, they;re probably lying about the 1200W.

I tried loading pics; will try again.
Got msg; uploaded file is too big.
It's just a pic of bike and another of hub motor.

Looks like your typical fat tire bike motor. You could find the biggest bafang geared notor, because the gears are available, Then when he melts it again, it's repairable.

Another possibility is to go direct drive with a high watt motor. I suspect they might accelerate slower, but higher top speed.

The easiest way to stay within the photo size limit is to take a screenshot of the photo and post that. You can also crop out any useless portions of the photo at that time.

DD motors use double the watthours on hilly routes as geared hubmotors. IE half the range. Been there, done that.
I find plastic gearsets last 4500 miles. No, I could not find any replacements either, for non-bafang motor. There are gears for sale on aliexpress, but the ads have no drawings or dimensions.
