Dear all
My current black handlebars have a 31.8mm clamp, are 750mm wide with an 8 degree backsweep, And a 6 degree upsweep. Im looking for a larger backsweep, say 15 degrees minimum with some rise. I think I would stay around the same width. Although I only have my Quad Lock additional to the grips and brake levers, shifters.

Can you recommend anywhere I can get such a thing in the UK. Or will ship to the UK.

Thankyou in advance.

What you are looking for are called "comfort" MTB bars or "alt bars". Corvus makes one called the Sweet 16 with 16 degree back sweep. They also have a variant called the Sweet Rise that has more rise to it. I can't help you with UK availability, but check Merlin Cycles, Bike24, Ribble, etc.

try Amazon or AliExpress,I got a set one time that looked like a long legged "c' or you could probably buy a set from any Dutch bike dealer.

Check out Planet X - online international bike store based in Yorkshire. They do a number of swept back bars and very reasonable prices. They also have a Jones clone; the Geoff bar which has a similar sweep and width. I use their OG v2 swept bars which at 680mm are a bit narrower but I like that on roads etc. Great bars.

I've used On One & Planet X parts for years, great quality, UK based (important post Brexit!) & cheap prices. Here's a link to their handlebar page:

Here is another to look at. I currently have them on my CC.

So they arrived and been fitted as you can see. Quality is very good. I love the fact I can have my phone and anything else mounted on the additional bar. And plenty of space to fit a small rearview mirror. There were no real issues to install them. And I like that the birds nest of cables seem to sit better. So I am thankful for that. Im also enjoying the more relaxed and raised riding position. So yes so far its all good.

Thanks again to you all for your interest & recommendations.

"By the 1970s, jonesing had spread beyond its origins as drug slang, weakening to a sense of “strongly wanting or desiring” in college slang, popular media, and on the internet in the late 1990s and early 2000s. A person could be jonesing for a lover or a hamburger—anything they feel they have done without for too long and feel a jittery anticipation of or longing for, for example the ideal handlebar.":p

Having ridden with the bars a little more I can report that the difference to how the bike feels is like night & day. For instance there are some fast bends which im normally entering at or around 20mph. Before I would tap the brakes. But this morning I sailed through them without touching the brakes. It just feels more planted. And the slow speed stability is really impressive.

That's great. They look good on your bike too.
