Yeah I already got a (free) upgrade to the 3G Omni a few years back when my 2G one started flaking out. The 3G Omni is all scratched up and the resistive touch element is failing in the same way.

Or any Omni, really. I can't find one. It seems like all the USA dealers I'm familiar with are not in the business anymore. Where's the best place? Mine is my third Omni, and it's already almost unusable again. The screen just can't handle the UV/water/something being outside 24x7.

My ST2 took an update yesterday. New feature: now we can unlock the Omni from the Omni keypad instead of only via the app on a phone. Whoohoo! This is a big deal if you park in places where you can't be assured that you have a data connection for both the bike and the phone. This happened...

Yes, Stromer has decided to simply replace Omnis rather than wait. While it is somewhat ominous that they don't quite know why the units are failing, I guess for now it is a best-case outcome to simply swap them out. I fear that this overly-complex part will eventually be an issue for long...

My ST2 has been afflicted by the loss of comm issue as well. They are now saying that they don't know what the problem is and that swapping computers is apparently not addressing the root cause. My bike is running fine, but without comms, I can't use the lock feature for fear of getting...

I think I have a version of this, too. Very hard to pin down or re-create at will at the shop. I wish the bike had debug logging that could be turned up and used to diagnose.

Yeah, definitely need a key in case the software locks up and needs a reboot. Don't forget a rubber band or strap so you can keep the battery door closed when the battery is not in the bike! Sigh... It's almost as if the Stromer product team hasn't truly used the bike on a daily basis. It...

This is only true when the bike is locked. Once the bike enters theft mode, we are out of luck. As for the key, that allows you to take the battery out so the bike rolls, but it doesn't give you a way to ride home (unless you want to dead-pedal a Stromer).
