The transition

Nope, we don't join in and exacerbate idiotic ventures that did not need to be created in the first place, thanks.
Also we need to clearly define what "self interest" is in this case. And I can make the argument that it is in all decent countries self interest to not touch this mess with a ten foot pole.

With the brains being larger and in charge of your balls.
Sad that the Iranians seem to be outsmarting him at every turn... and what was clearly obvious to the rest of the world.
Well c'mon, it isn't like they are up against the varsity here.

Liberals always whine about something; this gives them something unimportant to whine about.
I'm not a liberal, socialist, communist, democrat or republican... I'm an independent as I feel most correct answers or at least what is the greater good is in the gray.
This man is unequivocally a self centered total imbecile and how anyone can follow anyone, but especially him blindly is beyond my comprehension.

Oh yes... causing world-wide inflation is unimportant... uh huh...
Nicely done mate!
Nope, the Iranian response is the cause. Iran’s beef should be with the USA. The world should have a beef with Iran; their choice to sit back and whine.

US inflation isn't terrible, is the rest of world having inflation issues?

Back on topic. We're on the road and 2nd instance this year that convinced me EV might suck. This trip, I80 was closed because of an accident. Detour took us about 50 miles off highway; passed 3 stations that had gasoline and diesel, none had charging stations. In this case there would have been no charging stations in the closed section anyway, but what if your plan was to charge in the section that was closed on a highway that had charging stations on it?

1st instance was worse. We were heading to a lodge that has charging station. Because of a forest fire, there was a detour 7 miles before the lodge. Detour pointed north with no other indication when you got the highway back. Garmin reroute told us turn in X miles, every route blocked because of forest fire (no ondication of closed road on Google map route). Detour ended up being over 60 miles with zero fuel stations (or towns) the entire way. Ouch if it was my brother in his Tesla expecting to recharge in seven miles.

For you EVers, what is your minimum comfortable reserve before recharge when you are on a road trip? My brother's used to be 50. It's 100 now.
