I have been thinking of the Lectric 4 but a few things...I would never ride faster than 18 mph and want as much range as I can get..hard to beat 999$ shipped... a fat tire would probably work good for me...
what do you think for me?

Hard to beat $999, and from what I've read on forums, Lectric does a good job with their online sales model. Most people, aside from those that want concierge service, seem well satisfied.

I've owned 20" and 26" fat tire e-bikes but found them a bit heavy and not as much fun as my lighter models. You should try to ride a few ebikes and compare. See which ones you would prefer. To get your best range, switch the tires to smooth tread. They will be a lot quieter. but the tradeoff is you have to stay out of snow and mud. You can still ride on packed wet sand on the endless beach, with a music soundtrack, but any bike can do that,

Absolutely, positively the right answer. We frankly don't know enough about the OP to recommend or endorse any bike. But we DO know enough to say the following:

o If you're new to ebikes, you have no idea what you really want in an ebike. And the only way to find out is by testing a variety of ebike types, not by reading.

Let the bike shop staff educate you on the practicalities that really matter day to day.

o Fat tires look cool, but they come with a lot of downsides, as @harryS just mentioned. If you don't need to ride in mud, snow, or loose, dry sand, I'd think twice.

o How will you get the bike serviced after purchase? You should have a plan in place before you buy online.

o An ebike is a complex purchase. Let the folks at the bike shops you visit educate you on the ebiking practicalities that really matter day to day.
