I think we can safely count a lot of your riding as ice cream-seeking behavior as well.
Justyna, a female gravel rider had a 50 mile ride together with her man in BPK yesterday as well (they passed by the Iceland). She asked how I could eat ice cream in such cold weather. Well, she's getting cold inside on rides such as our Sunday ones. I do, too but perhaps I forgot mentioning I balanced ice-cream with a big cup of coffee? :)

I also eat way more ice cream than I should.
Marek S, the man I sometimes ride gravel with was 23rd of 110 on Saturday's Toskańska Heca 130 km race held in "Mazovian Tuscany" area. He never speaks publicly on social media but he was the first to write me "Stefan, you'd get on weight!" on Messenger :) I found his remark quite amusing taking into account how much carbs he does ingest on his races himself! :)

Joe, don't get me wrong. The fact I wouldn't buy a Bosch E-Bike myself doesn't mean these e-bikes don't work for other people. I tried a Bosch E-Bike in Ireland and decided it was adequate even in a hilly terrain. Look at Anna. She was on several longer rides with us on her Flyer. The petite lady does not avoid riding a harsher terrain when she needs to. Bosch E-Bike is a powerhouse of so many e-bikes. It hardly breaks and it is economic on the battery. I simply dislike the Bosch E-Bike "ecosystem".

Same with Garmin (oh yes, I owned a Garmin shortly) or iPhone. The things that work for other people but I have no desire to own them :)

We had an amusing moment with Tommy on Saturday. He wanted to understand the difference between himself (a big man riding a flat handlebar heavy steel bike) and a well trained person riding a carbon gravel bike (Marek S). He knew I tried Marek on an 18 km segment using 70/70% Vado assistance, which made Marek red in the face. So Tommy asked me to set the same assistance and show him what he would be facing if he were in Marek's position. Well, I accelerated to 36 km/h upwind for a kilometre on asphalt; Tommy was bravely keeping my wheel! As I gave up, he said he was spent after that sprint but was also proud to be able to keep up! :)

Same beautiful weather as yesterday...70f, light wind...rode the same 15miles (mostly) in reverse and once again pondered how different the same road appears in reverse. Yesterday coming from the Potter's I missed this scene. I am introducing the potter to a local woodworker who markets his craft at different shows in the mid-VA region. I don't think the potter will have any trouble locating the carver. And...there was this from the back deck as I began this post.

The moon was still gorgeous a couple hours later when it made it over the horizon on the left coast!

Booked an overnight stay for next ride with booking.com, they sent me a message after paying that when it says parking, its like three spsces and they are always full
Rang them, a wall of hyper american niceday AI, it completely stonewalled me and closed the call.
Tried chat on webpage, same thing.

Welcome to the future..the false background call centre chatter and keyboard sounds..
The next 20 years are just going to be awful.

Ramsgate.

Also booking.com, also England. Perhaps the difference is I was always selecting a flat with a very high rating at a reasonable price?
