And you can't get an ebike without it traveling through the Taiwan Strait. 88% of all large container ships travel through the Strait. You can't get Chinese food in Taiwan.

To funny. Always the “Richard”. Everyone here knows that both entities build great bikes and shite bikes. Please Please Please block this yokel. The Republic of China (a.k.a. Taiwan) is not the People's Republic of China (a.k.a. China). Taiwan is the world's home of bicycles with the most respectable brands manufacturing there, and with many Taiwanese brands being world leaders in bicycle components. China is -- technically speaking -- in the state of war with Taiwan. Maybe this information could help enlightening some Minnesotan yokels.
Of course. United States is China, too, as you can get the Chinese food there as well. I like that logic.they do have Chinese food in Taiwan because it is China!
The real fact is that the Chinese Nationalist army of the General Chiang Kai-Shek was losing the war against the Chinese Red Army. The Nationalist army found the refuge in the island of Taiwan and established the R.O.C, Taiwan there.. The Communist China would like to lay its hands on Taiwan, and fortunately it has not happened yet. Uma: Are you telling me you do not know the basic world facts?!It just has some political autonomy.
If anybody is interested in riding a People's Republic of China crappy moped, it is not my money, is it?my god this thread turned into a debate about countries ,just wondering about the bikes if anyone else has one

Saw an Onyx with the cranks set up this way this morning. Thumbs up to the owner for using a DOT helmet and having moped plates on it.As mentioned on another thread, I really want to put both cranks in the same direction, down as useless footrests, on one of these.
First thought, safe rider. Then I saw this:Saw an Onyx with the cranks set up this way this morning. Thumbs up to the owner for using a DOT helmet and having moped plates on it.

Bare wire and looks like some scorching in the area.
So what? This whole video and discussion means nothing, and sounds like it was started by either an overpriced ebike dealer or by someone who overpaid for their own bike. I ride my Ecotric 1000 watt ebike in quiet comfort over 100 miles every week and have for the last 2 years. No problems No flats or breakdowns. I paid $1,300 for it. Is my battery hidden to fool the roadies. No. I could care less. I see many others on these lower cost models and they love them. Don't get fooled by the hype from slick dealers. Save a bunch, buy online, and put it together yourself. It's simple. Buy puncture resistant tires, a better seat, and bam, you just saved thousands!yes i thought so
Yes they can. You can use the 5 power assist modes and 7 gears to get as much or as little exercise as you want. I use more leg than battery on the flatlands and use a little more battery for the hills. It's your choice. With 1000 watts I can up any steep street with assist. I weigh 250. Ignore style go for power. If you have steep streets go for max wattage.OK, that being said can the pedals be used at lower speeds to get exercise?( I would like to know)
