Hello all New to the forum and have a question... I had a minor accident with my xc100 and utterly destroyed the rear derailleur. Stupidly, I did not save the mangled mess, so here goes... does anyone know the actual 7 speed shimano rear derailleur for the eahora xc100? I was told by my local shop it was the Altus M310. Eahora's product specs say the same. However the product shot (although very unclear) looks like it reads 'Tourney' . I bought the M310 on the shops advice, and I will tell you, it does not fit nor work! Guess i should have researched just a little bit more before buying! So, I'm assuming it should be a 'Tourney', but which one??? Sorry to sound like an amateur, I should have handled my situation more cautiously and intelligently. I miss my bike. Can somebody help? The rest of the bike is still stock; no upgrades. Thanks everybody. Glad to find you all.

Can you post a picture of the deraileur?

The old derailleur was totally FUBAR and, alas, I threw it away. I do have this bad and fuzzy shot from before the accident.

Looks similar to the deraileur on my Paselec G9. I removed the guard that is the same as yours.

G9 is a 7 speed 11-34 freewheel, although the deraileur says 6speed.

Thanks everyone! Bought one from the great A_Z. Arrives tomorrow. Will let you know how it goes.

Well, sorry to say, the'new' derailleur didn't work either... won't sit straight, no tension on the chain. Does anybody know the chain length or number of links for the eahora xc100?? I'm getting totally frustrated now! Thanks
The one I bought was a hycline tz31-a
I just ordered a shimano ty300 which is supposed to be correct!

Same results! The derailleur only goes on one way because of the stop tab. What's wrong with this picture? Do I need to shorten the chain? The new chain is the sam length as the old (actually about 2-3 links shorter. By my estimation, I would have to remove about 4 links(maybe 5 for a proper tight fit-largest cog, without derailleur) does this sound right???
