You can upshift by also pushing the front lever with your thumb!

I just discovered this -- the front shifting lever which upshifts (moves chain to the right, to smaller rear cogs, higher gear) can be pushed forward with your thumb as well as pulled back with your fore finger to shift to a higher gear. I've been riding a Vado 6 (2018 model) since September 2019 and just discovered this dual shifting capability a few rides ago. It is very "handy" when descending as you can shift to higher gear while keeping two fingers on the right break handle. My Vado 6 has a Shimano SLX shifter. The Vado manual gives no information about the shifter. Looked up the SLX in the Shimano web site and downloaded the manual which does show the dual shifting motion for the B lever (the front one for upshifting to a higher gear, smaller cog).

I didn’t know this either. Thanks for sharing. I just tried it on my Vado 5 and works. Will be trying this riding to compare.

You can also downshift multiple cogs at a time by pushing the downshift lever more than 1 click. This isn't in the Vado manual but it is detailed in the Shimano inststruction sheet on the shifter. Very handy when headed up a steep hill.

I learned of these capabilities of the Shimano shifters from @TS25 only several days ago. Very useful features.

I have to admit I didn't watch the Court's video related to my model of Vado as far as to the shifter part 😊 When Court said it was a 45 km/h e-bike I just hurried up to shop the Vado 🤣
