you must activate this port as a powersupply, if not than it is setup as a "slave" port for the diagnostic software. This was mentioned a few posts back. Thats the only trick to get it working.
Yamaha has an "open" version for checking your bike with their sotfware, in this thread there is a versin to doanload, you can use that with the setting to [Comm] to check the bike if hooked up to a pc https://www.emtbforums.com/threads/yamaha-e-bike-diagnostic-software-ver-2.23857/
