My brand new haibike sduro stopped working. On my way home the displayed started flashing error 38, i restarted it a couple of times which resulted in it showing error 34 and then shutting down the motor completely. Now i cant turn off the display and the motor if leaved alone will just spin up by itself lol. Im pretty dissapointed about it all, does anyone have any clue as what I can do? Or should i just refund the bike?

You mention that you turned the the bike off and on again, but did you remove and reinstall the battery? If so and it didn't work, contact the seller ASAP.

Yea i´ve tried pretty much everything that doesnt breach the warranty. I´ve contacted them and waiting for a reply.

Just looking through this Yamaha service manual and the codes are pointing to a torque sensor issue. Link: https://www.wheeler.ch/fileadmin/wheeler/img/yamaha/Service-Manual-DriveUnit-Display-ENG.pdf

You really need a Yamaha ebike service dealer, with the diagnostic tool and ability to get and install Yamaha specific repair parts......not any old local bike shop. Sounds like the store you bought your bike from is not being very helpful.

Try Haibike USA and contact them for warranty issues: https://www.haibikeusa.com/haibike-warranty

Let us know how it works out for you!
