Woohoo.. we are live with the exclusive new controller for bafang ultra.. and more goodies!

With the 3000W version even * I * can hold 32 without breaking a sweat. That is saying a lot. Smooth as hell. (I am a very weak rider in case anyone was wondering)

and oh.. there is a throttle too... and the rohloff...

Pushkar, could this new bike be turned into an all-purpose bike? By all-purpose could fenders be added. Where I live, on Vancouver Island, better know as the wet coast, fenders are really important for at least 6 months of the year. If fenders could be added I'd be interested in this bike.
If there was an innovator award for ebikes you'd surely be the winner. Well done! 👍

You mean the Travalanche ?

Not only innovations, but real support. Impressive service, warranty, and no upcharges for support. Truly innovative frame and not a clone of others. Some resellers are suggesting they innovate but in fact they are selling someone else’s design. !!!You go Pushkar!!!

Man.. that is high praise. I mean really high praise.

Thanks so much.

To be fair Exess was the first to start using this controller and the Travalanche FS MTB is their bike which has been offered in Europe for a while. It's great to see it now available in North America!

Most bikes with rear suspensions and carbon fiber frames don't have fenders...another challenge to be met by Pushkar.
Making that an option if you can, opens that up to a whole new segment of hybrid rider that wants to ride on trails and in the rain especially on the West coast.

WW has a custom FS option with fenders and rack. I'm guessing that would make more sense for all around bike than trying to fit square peg in round hole.

I use minimalist style fenders. Ridiculously cheap on Aliexpress. I bought from a branded USA source for around $20. $3-$5 from an Alexpress store.

regular fenders suck riding in winter. Snow packs in quickly. Easier to keep mudguards clear.

The other thing is a rear rack, I don't think you can do it with a carbon frame, I have never seen one.

I like full-suspension carbon-fiber bikes, so Travalanche seems cool. Pretty amazing to have 203mm discs front and rear, too.

Do you have weight yet? With and without battery, please.

Any ideas for how to mount either a rear rack or a front fork-mounted rack (Topeak is coming out with one soon)?
Also, why the SRAM GX 11-speed drivetrain, especially since it bottoms out at 42 teeth I believe? Why not either the GX 12-speed (10-50 ratio) or the more robust EX1 8-speed (11-48)?
I don't see a Gear Sensor unit on the bike - shouldn't that be important for drivetain longetivity given the high levels of power?

Great to see bikes pushing the performance envelope for us non-Euro-legal-restricted riders!

I agree that it's great to see these new offerings from Watt Wagon, but the Travalanche is, as Pushkar states, a frame from Exess and is not Watt Wagon's own design.

OK.. this makes me giddy but I am super happy about this. Today we are launching 5 new things! All shipping in May 2020 (assuming no big disruptions)

Youtube link of the announcement -
  1. Archon X1 controller for the Bafang ultra. Go all the way up to 3000W. Watt Wagons is the exclusive distributor of this in the US and Canada.
    1. Instant feedback
    2. Smooth ramp-up
    3. Super efficient (15-25% depending on riding scenario)
    4. The 1000W option outperforms the traditional high wattage variants (read more on the blog post)
    5. Up to 3000W with a special battery pack, and a custom spider to take around 250Nm of torque.
  2. Reduced price on the bikes through end of April. Archon X1 controller is standard on the bikes.
    1. Throttle works with ALL wattage configurations.
    2. Throttle torque reduced to 90Nm so it doesn't damage the Rohloff
  3. New bike launch - the Travalanche. Offroad MONSTER. This is the Exess bike Hp180 + Dorado pro front fork + X1 controller + 3000W option + Custom high amp rated battery.
  4. New Battery Pack - the Titan. 1100Wh. Will be available in both 40A and 50A variants. I am still working on the site, but the product is live.
  5. Dual battery converter - Reuse your old battery packs and double your range!

Here are a couple of comparison charts of the controller versus stock controller.

This has taken a while and I am incredibly glad to tell you about this. Super excited to continue being on the leading edge of ebike innovation.

That looks like a critically damped system to me :D.

You are doing all the right things at an amazing pace.

I will be honest, on one side there is all the marketing BS from the big companies and on this side there is an engineer who knows what he is doing improving the product and catching them. With this new controller your offering becomes the best commuter out there.

I may need to start saving...

@pushkar I must confess your ultimate commuter pro looks incredible actractive..

I'd just really love to have a try ride in order to assert personally the motor push and smoothness (compare to my gen3 bosch cx). Do you have any custom in (north) Germany or close?

I'd also know about how does the motor plays with the 45 legal limit in EU. If limited to 45, should it be legal or?

Moreover, would it be possible to easily disable the speed limit via a key combinations or similar?

Thanks ! That is awesome.

You can actually reach out to exess bikes in germany. They have the same controller that rides very well. As such, there is no limit on the motor, so no need to try to disable the speed limit. I can't say about EU limits - best to connect with Exess and figure out what they think.

Happy to get you the UC Pro if you like that bike! :) I have partnered with a freight company now and shipping is not a big problem any more.

Thanks, just as curiosity regarding the shipping, how much are we talking in terms of time and money?

What us the weight difference between the Travalanche and the Ultra Touring, the best I could find from there website was about 58 lbs for the carbon fiber bike ?
