Whom pays for your charge ?

Many eBikers are Homeowners and as such just plug in at home and forget about the cost.

However, many others, perhaps the majority of eBikes Owners reside in Rental Accomodation. If the pay for there own Electricity Bill fine but what about the ones where Electricity is included in their Monthly Apartment Rent where they also plug in the eBike.

What are your thoughts on that ?

Bosch Powertube 500 here on a 65 nm mid motor. Since 9-25-24:
5575 miles. 54 KWH. 103 miles/KWH. $8.12

i discovered recently that the outlets in our garage (separate ground floor garage of a 6 unit / 4 story condo building) are on the house meter. i feel slightly bad about charging the bikes and scooter, but as noted it really doesn't add up to much energy. perhaps .5kwh a day between the three electrified vehicles, around $6/mo at our fairly high peak energy prices.

for the car, the 250V outlet is definitely on our meter, and i have it set to only charge at night - still fairly expensive energy at $.30/kwh and our 500mi or so of driving a month amounts to around $50 of energy. maybe $60 depending on how much is lost in the charging process, haven't really checked. equivalent to 50MPG on a cost basis.
