Which Size frame to choose?

New to ebikes and looking to purchase my first. I've been looking at M2S R750 but not sure if the 19" or 21” bike is the correct size. I'm 6'3" with a 34" inseam. My current older Trek hybrid bike is a 21" frame and I recently tested a Trek Verve that was an XL size and the shop said it was also a 21" frame. Since I can't test the M2S, but the frame appears to be similar to many other fat tire bikes on the market. Also, I'm looking at their new version that will have 29" wheels so not sure if that matters as well. Any suggestions on frame size would be appreciated.

No replies here and I’ve had conflicted opinions from other sources. Decided to go with the 21” frame bike based on current bike size and would rather have it slightly big than too small.

What size should I get? Customers between 5'6" and 5'10" can generally ride the medium bike with no problem as long as their inseam on their pants is greater than 27" in length. The large frame bike is best for customers between 5'9" and 6'3", while the X-large size is best for customers with inseam lengths of over 34". The Step Thru frame design is an 18" frame size that is ideally suited for people over 5'6" in height.

So you're on the cusp, but since the bikes have a decently low sloping top tube for a lower stand-over height, you're probably OK for the XL:

You'll likely be fine with seat height, and if the handlebars are too far you can try putting on a shorter stem.

Thanks, and doubtful that the bars will be too close. I've been blessed with simian length arms.

Also not to concerned on seat height and throwing a leg over. I ride an adventure style motorcycle with a 35" seat height. My main concern on the frame size was if it would be appropriate and stand over height.

You and I are looking for about the same thing. My short list includes M2S and Juiced, who both offer XL frames, and Rize is supposed to fit taller riders well. Good luck and let us other taller riders know what you get and how it fits!

If you are considering a suspension seatpost, keep in mind most require around 4" of clearance from the seat rail to the top of the seat tube.
I'm 6' 2" and when I bought my Trek MTB, I chose a 19" frame over the 21" for this reason. I also checked this clearance when e-bike shopping. Seat comfort is more important on an e-bike since you are likely to spend more hours "in the saddle" than you would on a conventional bike.

When I built my bike, I went with a large frame and my prime criteria was that the triangle between the upper and lower tubes be large enough to fit the battery. My first frame was a Specialized Curve. Nice frame, but useless, because the battery wouldn't fit. With modern mountain bikes it's hard to find a frame where the upper tube is roughly parallel to the ground. This one is not bad and it does fit the battery. Most are like the one shown by smorgasbord, quite sloping, almost, but not quite a step thru design.
