Which display for BBS02B

The 850C is a pretty popular display. It includes some battery functions that are pretty cool, but they will not function unless your battery is set up with some additional wiring to allow the control to gather the required data.

Even without that ability, many find it does every thing they need to do. Noteworthy is that most color displays have a tendency to wash out/become difficult to see when operated in direct sunlight. This one work pretty darn good under those conditions, one of the reasons it's as popular as it is.

I think the 860c is the best display for Bafangs...
Though very similar to the 850c in function, the 860c has gorilla glass screen as apposed to plastic and is a little thinner in dimension. I find it excellent in all lighting conditions and the voltage reading is very accurate.

It's not that they need additional wiring, it's that they require a Bafang Battery and BMS to pull all of the battery statistics to fulfill the displays capabilities.

I see, the one I was looking at came with either Samsung or Panasonic battery

Those are the cells within the pack. Even Bafang batteries come with same/similar brand cells... The difference is that they include a BMS to manage the battery and which also speaks to the display providing more information.
Most other batteries have a BMS but without the communication add on to the display.
The additional information is nice but far from necessary.

If it's advertised as a UART based Bafang display, it should work with any of the BBSxx drives.
