When to Charge

Hi all,

So I'm 4 days into ownership of my LMTD. Upon receipt from Fedex I built the bike and plugged in the battery until the charger registered green (full charge/100%). Is the conventional wisdom that I should ride the battery until it gets to roughly 20% remaining charge and then re-charge it up to 80% with a monthly/quarterly/annual full charge to 100% for best battery life?

I think at a minimum charge to 100% every 4 - 6 weeks. And I drain to around 40% and think it is better unless you can't get things done without going lower. I wouldn't stop riding to run home and charge.
