whats a good carbon handlebar?

Just thought I would resurrect this thread. I replaced the 90mm aluminum stem and 630mm (cut down from 680mm) aluminum bars on my Specialized base Turbo with a matching carbon fiber stem and a set of 620mm carbon fiber bars. The stem has the same rise as the stock stem and the bars have the same rise and sweep as the stock bars, so geometry stayed identical.

I definitely can feel some difference in my hands. The new stem and bars do not beat up my hands quite as bad on poor pavement. Since I use bar ends, the shorter bar (620mm instead of the stock 680mm) feels perfect in terms of hand placement.

My sources were from eBay and were "Brand X" Chinese products that were quite inexpensive. The total was around $63.00
