Volt meter install

Hi all...after a long lay off of ebiking due to illness, I'm finally back in the saddle and catching up on projects. This one was a volt meter so I can check my discharge rate as I ride. It's on a 2018 Magnum Ui6. I bought the meter, cable and right angle adapter from Amazon. I had to splice one end of the cable to the meter leads. My display from Magnum does not show voltage only power bar. I'm satisfied😉 IMG_20220427_162547103.jpgIMG_20220427_162522163_BURST001.jpg

I don't understand the other remarks, but I like your meter, Oldbkr. I have mine hooked to the display wiring on my bikes. There's always a wire that goes to battery voltage when the bike is turned on.

DIY e-bikes require a multimeter.
Again... This is NOT a DIY
With Bafang diy eBikes you can easily choose a display that shows voltage and/or percentage.
We all realize that you are obtuse... But seriously.. what don't you understand?

Why the OP would you like to see the voltage. Is the battery % not enough?
That's his own personal preference and a question he can answer. But he does state he likes to view his discharge rate by voltage... Why is that a problem for you?

I'm trying to determine why. Isn't the Wh/mi figure enough to determine the discharge rate?
I guess...
Me personally I prefer to monitor voltage over percentage on the numerical portion of the display as I can see real time voltage sag in higher wattage situations. Is it necessary, not at all. But I like seeing how the battery performs in different situations such as temperature.
But in the end it's not anymore important than knowing how many calories burned, it's just information.

You can lead a horse's ass to water, but you can't make the asshat drink...

I installed one too. I also wired it before the display. Though I’m thinking about splicing it between my battery and my controller. I mostly installed this for security (and my desire to tinker).
