Video: Andy Reviews Ride Scoozy's Veego 750 Fat Tire, Step Thru eBike

After watching the video the bike seems to be a well built bike and I have gives it some consideration, but the Rad Mini Step Thru is a ebike that is around $500 less. The Veego 750 does come with fenders and a rear rack which looks like it is part of the frame for strength. So around $200 of extras are standard on the Veego 750 and this is not a folding bike, but Veego does have a folding bike, the Veego 500 and it will be priced comparable to the Rad Mini Step Thru if you order the fenders and rear rack for the Rad. All being said, the Rad is probable the better value here, plus Rad's service is top notch from what I read and have seen in videos, but to be fair I have not seen any negatives on the Veego either.

I posted this review more than a year ago and allow me to state that after all that time the VeeGo is still running strong. It's a solid, step-thru bike.

I also own the VeeGo 750 and have been very pleased with it. Both the 750 and the 500 have the same rear rack integrated with the frame and rated for 100 pounds. The Rad is rated for 45 pounds. IMO, the customer service beats Rad. I ordered the rear platform rack from Rad and it fits perfectly on the VeeGo if you don't mind drilling a few holes. Rad charged $20 shipping and handling for a $40 item that weighs less than two pounds. The product did not ship until two days after I placed the order. I ordered a tire and a spare charger from Scoozy on separate occasions and both shipped the same day with no shipping charges. All communications I have had with Scoozy since I bought the bike have been via email. They have always answered the same or the next business day. BTW, the aluminum tubes on the Rad rack are 16mm while the tubes on the VeeGo are 19mm.

Although I think Scoozy has been in business longer than Rad, I do agree that the only downside to Scoozy is the size of his shop. I don't know if Jason has a continuity plan or exit strategy in place. I am sure you will be happy with the Rad, but I think the VeeGo represents the better value.

I've nailed it down to two e bikes, the Rad Mini Step Thru, or the Veego 500 Step Thru. Both e bikes need to be the folding type so we can take them in our RV with us. The biggest difference is the Bafang motor in the Rad is a 750 and the Veego is a 500, the Rad battery is 14ah and 48 volts, the Veego is a 13AH and 48 volts. All being said the total price is just about the same including adding fenders and a rear rack to the Rad Mini and that even includes Rad adding sales tax where Veego does not, go figure on that. One last note the pricing on the Veego does include the upgrade 17ah battery in the price, both e bikes on paper come to right at $1700, which one would you go with. The main choice is the Rad with a 750 Bafang and 14ah battery, or the Veego with the 500 Bafang and a 17ah battery from the way I see it.
