VADO SL Seat Wedge

Upon removing the seat post today to prepare the bike for shipping in the OEM box, removing the seat post wedge, I found a super tiny "O" ring on the floor.
IS there a place for that in/on the wedge, because the spec sheet/owners manual does not show one?

Is the O-ring orange, about 1/2" in diameter and very thin? I found one like that on the floor underneath my Vado SL 5.0 and discovered it came off the plug on the charger. It had me baffled for quite a while.
