Upgrading 2016 Battery

No, I bought an adapter with it that plugs into the end of the luna charger
unfortunately those adapters are backordered right now, I need another one and will have to order the stuff and get someone to make it for me

That is annoying, I did not realize people were phasing out those packs so I guess that’s why that adapter has been backordered for months now
I’ll have a new supply of parts by Monday. I’d happily send one by first class mail! Total cost about $5 with shipping.

Thanks Thomas that is to good info

I have two Luna chargers and want a second plug for the other one but it has not been a priority so I havent messed with it

Hoping to take one of my bikes to Phoenix in a couple of weeks to have a bike builder try to program my bafang controller and was going to ask him if he could build me one if I get the parts or he does

Sure they are easy to make, it’s just annoying that Luna does not have anymore and they’ve been backordered for months

You rock! Please make me two of them and you can PM me the total, the shipping and I can PayPal you / send you my address right away

Do I need to send you pictures of the wires on what is positive/negative or not

Thank you!

I've charged it way more than 50 times..
You may have plugged it into a charger more than 50 times, but each time wasn't a full cycle from 0-100% was it? Batteries are sold with the suggested life of at least 500 full charging cycles. That could be 1,000 times plugged into the charger if you topped it off with the last 50% each time. Still 1,700 miles is a horribly short life.

I ordered some pigtails last night. from Amazon, they'll be here in a few days. YES! I need to see which xt60 connector is needed. Pictures would be great! Pay the postage and you're good! I've been putting off getting this done for myself. I'll have a few minutes and all of $3.16 invested in making two for you.

OK, turns out my heat gun is in another location. I won't be there for a day or two. Shrink tube works with a lighter but I prefer my heat gun. The heat shrink gets stiff and less flexible with a flame to shrink. I did make two. I'm closing out on all XT60 connectors and no longer using. They were all gifted so I'll pass them on! Ten minutes and 79 cents invested!

Today I was just bored so I cut the cables from the battery cradle and controller connector and replaces them with Anderson connectors.

IMG_20190727_124408.jpg old connectors (I was pretty sure the cables internally were just red/black leads and I was right)

IMG_20190727_124433.jpg tested new connection

IMG_20190727_124522.jpg now running with a 52v 17ah battery (Luna) I had from another eBike. (BBS02)

It started up fine and runs great. I stuffed the rectangular battery in the pannier bag. With a second in the other bag, that should give me 1700+ watt hours.
