I need some assistance. I have an Ultra with the upgraded controller that I bought from WW and I want to make an adjustment for the throttle response. I have a programing cable and downloaded the ( I think ) correct software program and cannot get my computer to recognize the com port to make the connection it repeatedly says "failure to connect" I swapped existing USB cables around and ALL the USB outlets are working. Using an HP with Windows 10, even tried on another HP computer with Windows 7 and still the same. Downloaded program from the web and even downloaded the basic settings program from Biktrix just to gain access to the system and will figure out my own personal settings that work for my riding style but still nothing.
It looks pretty simple watching videos on youtube.
Throttle response is slow to pick up and is pretty much useless I find myself riding and not using it. I figure the "upgrade" scaled back the power to save a bit on battery life but I have a 34.5ahr battery so Thats not an issue for me.
Here is a pick of the programing cable with the shrink tubing removed to see if there were any loose wires and it all looked fine.

Ideally what I want to do is access the throttle settings on my other bike with the BBSHD and use those same values on the new bike. Any help would be appreciated. I sent a message to Pushkar last week but have not heard any response. Thanks for listening.

Hi Geeno,
Where did you get the programming software from?
I'm happy to be corrected if the following isn't the case, but I thought the upgraded controller from Watt Wagons will be using different programming software compared to applications folks have been using to modify their stock Bafang controllers.

You post on EBR, you get action!!

I have seen videos of FREY bikes with the Ultra motor being reprogramed. So the software inside the WW upgraded controllers isn't accessable by the end user? What is the program that Roshan is posting up on his website ( Biktrix) on accessing the ultra? Pushkar are you ok discussing these issues on an open forum or would you like me to contact you directly?
When I contacted you a couple of weeks ago you said yes the throttle is able to be reprogramed and you were out of stock on the programing cables and you should be back in stock at the end of November. Didnt know it was a propriatary cable. Will the motor I have presently on my bike be able to be reprogramed by me or would it have to always go through your shop? As everyone has different preferences I could see that road being counterproductive. I appreciate the offer of a spare motor but not sure I want to go down that road. Before I retired I was an Elect Contractor out here in SD and have been building battery's for a couple of years so I know my way around electric devices. I fully understand voiding your warrenty on the motor and controller I got from you if I'm going to alter any settings and I'm fine with that. Let me know the best way to proceed.

Also I got the Bafang programing cable from California E-Bikes I think for 28 bucks or so. Thanks gents. Mike

@greeno I believe I mentioned that the controller has our/Innotrace firmware, and it has a completely different port, protocol, setting setup.

if end user to make changes, they need to sign up for the firmware (comes with the cable. ) this firmware gets updated every few months.

The current bafang firmware plus cable you see from other vendors is not compatible with our firmware.

In your case since you just bought the motor, and we missed unlocking the throttle prior to shipping, we can ship you a temp motor so you can still ride while your motor is being upgraded.

If I sign up for the firmware/updates and it comes with the cable to do it when would that option be availible? Or do I no matter what still have to send the motor back to you to "unlock"?

We are behind on the cables. Was expecting shipment in August but part shortages have pushed it back.
for the moment the quickest way is to ship the motor back.

Once I have the cables you can sign up and do all the tweaking / customizing on your end.

I guess my reading skills are not on par with my bike building skills as I went over to WW website and looked at the info on the controller upgrade and it specifically states that a standard cable and programing software WILL NOT WORK with these units. Good in math but not so good with english I guess. Thanks Pushkar for your response.
The bike is so much fun to ride I think I will just wait until you have the cables availible and order the update package and do it myself. No offence. I will be able to unlock it myself correct?

Yes you will 👍

Thank you my friend for taking the time to clear this up for me. Do I go to the website to sign up for the update and cable?

yes. I am re-doing the site.. so give me a couple of weeks and then you can order them piecemeal.

Thanks so much.

Is the programming cable and the program for controller customizing supplied with the ArcnonX1 motor or it is something we have to purchase or request separately?
