Yeah, I've ridden motorcycles for the past few decades. Commuted year round to use HOV lanes with electric clothing before I retired. Wiped out once entering HOV lanes when a salt truck was coating the road but left a big pile of salt at the apex of the entrance ramp. I hit it at about 45 mph and both tires slipped out. Didn't get hurt. Busted up my mirror and turn signal. Got Iron Butt certified in 2001ish (1000 miles in 24 hours). Finished the Crotona midnight run in about 2002 during an ice storm in New York. Carbs froze on my Seca 600 and I ended up with a participation medallion. I'm familiar with two wheel riding and balance issues. Haven't ridden a bike since about 2009 though. My thinking is to put only lighter things up top. Helmet when not riding. Mostly empty when riding. Got a couple lithium batteries banks with 18 18650s each for the milk crate that I'll use to charge accessories and my heated electric jacket in cold weather. But they could give my main bike battery a bump if in a pinch. I'll order another lectric battery if they're ever not "sold out". Plans for the Aosom trailer I just put together will be used for hammock camping gear and equipment, or a pet carrier, or a solar charger (depending on what I'm doing at the time). Probably won't ever try to pull the trailer with the milk crate system at the same time. In the blue ridge mountains very near the Appalachian Trail. Plenty of options for riding and stuff within 1 battery range. Will probably use panniers with either set up. I'm 6' 185lbs at the moment. Doing everything I can to reduce weight/improve range/maintain stability and comfort/safety. The milk crate setup weighs 10.2 pounds empty. Santan has 250w used solar panels for $50 each btw. Thanks for the reply. I hadn't considered using magnets AND reusable ties.
