So this morning I updated the display software on my turbo Vado. I don't remember the old software version ( my bad) The new version is 20.E.0
The bike still seems to function normally but I get this error message in the mission control ap.

Has anyone else seen this? The ebike appears to be working fine and the only error message is in the mission control ap

So today I rode my TV across medellin and up some wicked steep hills in El Poblado to the Specialized center. When we looked into the mission control app, the glitch had cleared itself! However the folks at Specialized checked out all my software and did an update on the motor. Rode it home. have about 185k on the odo now and I have only a few specific gripes:
1. the front fender often hooks on curbs when dropping or jumping curbs
2. I hate the suspended seatpost because I come from road bikes and I LIKE having a very consistent saddle position for my knees (ain’t much cartilage left in there!)
3. Its about 10 kg heavier than I would like.
other than those 3 things I think its pretty brilliant!
I really like the 3 ride levels and its very easy for me to decide which to use. Today I rode 35k and battery usage even with the hills was right at 40%. FWIW, I weigh about 85 kg.

Marquez:
1. You can safely unscrew the long mudflap. It protects the motor case against being soiled but it creates many problems otherwise
2. You could replace the seatpost with any other you like but if you use a standard 30.9 mm seatpost, you need to use a 34.9 mm shim
3. Cannot be helped! Had you a Vado SL, you would probably be unable to negotiate your hardest climbs, and I estimate you might use 95% of the SL battery on your 35 km hilly ride.

Good to hear from you!

I brought my brand-new Turbo Vado 4.0 home this past Monday, updated the software, and got this same error. Not off to a good start. Luckily it was late, and I just went to bed after a few failed on/off recycle attempts; otherwise, I might have obsessed and tried to fix it. The next day, I looked at it and the message was gone and I have not seen it since.

I just purchased my Vado 5.0 IGH yesterday from a Specialized Corporate Store, and I am super excited. I couldn't take delivery, however, because I needed my wife to drop me off so I could ride home. I also asked them to install new pedals because I was not excited about the stock ones. Anyway, I digress.

Before I left, I asked if I could pair the bike to my app. They said no problem. Unfortunately, I was not able to do so. When I tried to pair the bike, the bike was listed as some random number. The bike tech said it was supposed to be the serial number, but it wasn't that. When I tried to connect, it errored and said that I needed an internet connection to proceed. The bike then disconnects me. I had a great internet connection, 4 bars, and all other apps worked fine. But, to confirm, I logged into the Store's wifi, and still received the same error message. They asked me to screenshot and send the errors to the store's SMS account so they could follow up with Specialized. Not off to a good start.... Please let me know if any of you have seen or heard of this...

I had an issue while I was collecting my Vado SL from the LBS. Mission Control had not not updated.

A Specialized Warsaw salesman fighting with Mission Control on my brand new Vado SL 4.0. June 24th, 2021.

Just as an update to this, the resolution was that they had not updated their firmware. Once the shop updated the firmware the following day, the issue was resolved and Mission Control connected immediately. I don't know why this is not an automatic thing these days. But, all is well that ends well and I love the Vado!!!
