From Trek, I thought an odd response....
"We do offer the Police models to the general public. With that being said, you will need to check with your local Trek retailer because we do not offer online purchasing for Police models. Some shops will only order those bikes if the individual purchasing the bike is indeed a police officer."
"They are allowed to do that because the bikes come with available "police" stickers that technically make it a police vehicle.
If a member of the general public rides a bike with "police" logos, that can be considered a criminal offense of impersonating an officer."
I asked if the POLICE sticker comes unattached... "It comes with the bike, but not installed."
Doing comparisons, I didn't realize Trek did a "Lift" electric. Odd looking compared to the Pure, but enticing... This old gimp likes flat foot and upright.
