Trek Launches New High Performance Electric Cross Country Ebikes E-Caliber

I don’t think any rotwild ebike can compete with the likes of the e-caliber or trek rail.

120mm travel on a 12.000$ emtb vs 170mm for 8k.

Trek , Specialized they’ve gone nuts with the prices , for the Silicon Valley/Wall street crowd, although I hardy see any suits on the trails.

Study that Rotwild Rx750 in detail , or a Moustache Samedi Game 8/10. For the price of that ecaliber I can get 2 Samedi’s 4 with Bosch 4/625wh pack.

Mass production vs. attention to details and performance.
The TREK ecaliber is declared obsolete and vastly inferior !! Bin it +recycle .

Prices have risen across the board on everything, not just bikes and e-bikes. Almost every bicycle and e-bike brand has increased their prices.

80-90NM is the norm for e mtb. Or try a M1 Spitzing with 120NM if you need to get over a 20% steep hill.

55nm with a 250wh battery @40 lb won’t go too far if you do a serious mtb. Ride.

+No kickstand
+Bend over and REMOVE battery EVERY SINGLE freaking time when needing to do a charge
Then you are clearly missing the point of this bike. It is for XC, not full trail or downhill.

May I also add that the lack of qa dropper post is only on the high end model for weight bragging. My 9.6 has a very good dropper post!
And that MINI 60mm rear shock travel on Trek's ecaliber 12k trash + bending to remove battery in order to cHarge it 😷 ??

What about some real hi-tech ?

It is for XC,
. It is for XC,

I know it's for XC , but let's see who will buy it having those major deficiencies !!

A 180-190WH usable battery ONLY . Unless we run it down to 0% and up to 100%.

Trek+Specialized prices having go through the roof, it's up to us to agree or voice our concerns. Ok 12-15k , but , give me THE BEST.

Sold on the idea of lightweight and minimal assist I recently took delivery of the 9.6. I've put maybe 10 miles on so far. Very different from my DB Current a gravel drop bar, with the Bosch Performance Speed gen4 w/Kiox I acquired about 2 months ago. I gather the Fazua iPhone app doesn't yet support modifying the assist levels?

Yes it does support modifying the assist levels and it does so better than all the other major ebike motors. It was the main feature of their “black pepper” software update. All the details on how to do it are in the Fazua subforum I believe.
