(Link Removed - No Longer Exists)..add a hub motor kit with battery...switch out the motor with a generator to continuously charge your battery...voila!

What?

I get entirely enough exercise riding my bike out to my summer camp. Too much when the wind is seriously against me. I don't need to use my body to charge the bike battery, I have enough trees down and weeds up to keep 50 foresters busy. Let Redy Kilowatt do the charging.

Don't even get me started on why this would work poorly, if it even worked at all.

Right..well..he does add this to his CL listing..."It is ready to ride as with all bikes it is advised to check out components before each ride and am not responsible for accidents occurring from it's use. "

Which I have to say is verbiage I've never before seen in a Bike listing.

Further - Apparently the company who makes the kit is still in business...this is their promo video.
I'm impressed with how quiet it is. Oh - wait - they never let you hear it, just peppy music.
But apparently it can be used on trails. Imagine how the traditional Mountain Bike riders heads would explode when they see that considering how they react to E-Bikes.

Oh please...I refer to a gas powered generator which would be in keeping with the spirit of this....thing. But you know...an alternator driven off the big wheel pulley into a 120 VAC inverter ....to power a charger... Nah...that would be silly.

A fellow with a 2 stroke converted bike used to ride past my house. I could hear the bike from blocks away and it seemed slower then my Volt bike. The local police shut Him down not under any traffic law but under Plattsburgh's noise ordnance. Now my E-bike gets nothing but positive attention from the local police.

I have a drill at home that charges itself when I drill it.

I have a pen that fills itself with ink from the sentence I write.

I have a bank account that gets larger when I make a withdraw.

I'm hungry... Wheres the bathroom?
