we had our crash Saturday night and pushed the bike to the shop Monday, we had taken it in for a quote to upgrade e the brakes and we found out they had already ordered the parts. I tested them to ask how it was going and they sen the auto text at the same time it was done. the bike info said the brakes were deore hydraulic but they were a step below and they only had 180 rotors and it was just not enough on this bike even with 203 rotors it was hard to lock the rear wheel or stop on steep hills. plus they tended to get noisy on long descents. so we have Shimano Deore 4 posting with cooling fins and cooling rotors. took it for a spin down a 20% grade hill and I could stop with 1 or two fingers. huge improvement. the cost was not bad only 550.00 the guy who's dog caused the crash said he would pay for any repairs.

Huh, didn't realize you had the tandem set up for dual battery.
well sort of. the bike was designed for it but the factory never updated the motor for it and did not include the wiring for it. so its a battery holder. but that's the best way because most of the time we never need the second or only need a little of it.
