Stylish, clean and minimal define the approach and lines of the redesigned Roadster while offering all of the technology and performance expected from Riese & Müller. The Roadster factors in concepts of classic bicycle frames: diamond frame construction, narrow rounded tube cross-sections, almost horizontal top-tube and delicate seat stays. The result is a clean, lightweight and sporty appearance that Riese & Muller have dubbed E-sthetics for those who love the classic construction and feel the technical elements of an eBike detract from the overall look of a bicycle. The Roadster incorporates a new, lighter Bosch Active Plus motor, the Gates belt drive, and Suntour NCX fork, bringing the total weight to just below 44 pounds. The Roaster is a perfect city rocket built for those who want all the benefits of an eBike in a classic look.

Features:

  • Bosch Performance CX Motor

  • 36V / 500 watt battery

  • Shimano Deore 10-speed drivetrain

  • Magura MT4 hydraulic brakes

  • Suntour NCX Suspension Front Fork

  • Three Available Sizes

  • Mixte Model Available

  • Available colors: Electric Green Metallic, Black Matte, White

  • MSRP: $3879 (starting price)

Thanks for posting !
Nice step-thru and integrated front basket and light ; would be nicer with swept back handlebars .

Oh , I see , it's an urban sporty racer !
"Its short stem provides high-speed, agile riding behaviour."
Very very nice bike !

Still , I'd like to see this one with swept back handle bars , and 700 x 45 or 50 mm vs. their 40mm .
But I guess that would be the Nevo Touring CX model , if same front basket and light could be integrated .

Front chainring is larger than the motor housing, thus it could be catastrophic if you took this off-road without some additional protection. And yes, I understand this model is not designed for that. It's just an observation. Nice looking bikes.

What’s with the full size crank? I haven’t seen that on a Bosch system before. Nice bike though, something a little lighter from R&M.

This is Bosch's new design for the lower cost drives. It has a lower torque rating, so is not suggested for off-road use. It's for the rental market and hotel guest crowd. And, OK, even though I'm over 65, I guess they could also be aiming at the geriatric set. But it's not for me. I love my CX Drive! And I agree (with Bosch), it could be a great introduction to e-bikes!

Germany website shows Roadster with Active Plus drive option and Performance Speed , USA site only shows options for CX and Speed .
So , why CX option if this model is not meant for off pavement ?
Also , In general , Bosch Performance Cruise drive seems to be offered less and less .
