Wretched. Utter cr@p. Why would you ever ride there??
Mines a straightforward journey? I get up, head down to the kitchen and switch on the kettle. After that I'm ready for a rest. No batteries involved!

Last 2 days I've had to drive the car into work ... I was cursing under my breath for easily half the commute, as my stress and frustration wound upwards ...
With your high commuting speeds, make sure your lights are adequate for the night ridesLooking forward to my first nighttime commute next week.
Thanks, I will be lit up like a Christmas tree. I also assume I will have to slow it down in the dark. With your high commuting speeds, make sure your lights are adequate for the night rides
I love my night rides less traffic and less wind. Just have to watch out for coyotes that come out and the path. Thanks, I will be lit up like a Christmas tree. I also assume I will have to slow it down in the dark.
I was in the process of needing to adjust my grip on the handlebars. Would have tried a riser, changed out the grips, and possibly have shortened the width of the handlebars overall. So, my next bike needs to be comfortable in the handlebar area, maybe slightly more upright. I just found a seat that was more comfortable and installed a better tail light, both gone now. I may have to wait until after the summer. Bike sales are up right now, many bikes are out of stock, and not likely to see an incentive/sale any time soon for that reason. Thanks for asking.@DIL glad to hear what a great experience (and deal) you had with that bike; of course, really sorry to hear it was eventually stolen! What options or changes are you considering, in light of the theft, for the new bike?
Nothing like riding in a storm to make you feel alive!10 miles round trip, not very hilly. shoulders for half, the other half I take one of the 2 lanes on a low traffic road. I thought I had a video of the whole ride but here's the last bit coming home literally seconds before a storm
well unless you do it 20 times or more a yearNothing like riding in a storm to make you feel alive!
