Surface colt

Just got one. Impressed, only concern handle bar stem seems to loosen periodically. Don’t have a small socket torque wrench, but careful not to over tighten. Anyone else have the problem? Rick, 72, bought bike because the ride up a steep hill started to turn me off going for rides. Cheers?

I have that problem on a cheap "WT Grant" 3 speed bicycle I bought for $50 at Salvation Army resale store. That position is very dangerous to have a loose part.
I do not have any such problem on my $1600 yubabikes bodaboda. I haven't had to tighten any front end parts in 15 months and maybe 2500 miles. I have had to tighten the rear brake caliper against pad wear, and the nuts on the DD hubmotor shaft, even though I used blue locktite on them.

Bought a suntour suspension seat post. What a difference. Without it sometimes thought my lower parts were going to go thru my helmet when I hit a big bump at high speed. I live up in Canada, near Vancouver.
Cheers.

Would be interested in selling my Colt, in excellent condition, just had it serviced. Need hip replacement in Spring, would sell with original non suspension post and seat, new ego pedals and new chain.
Bike has 850 miles or 1200 plus km. Almost 100% riding done on Kamloops bike paths. Just has it checked out at Vernon elide for 6 month check. Other than new pedals and chain perfect. Email if interested. Cheers
